Polartropica releases music video for self-defense anthem “GIVE THEM HELL (Serial Killer Slayer)”

The fantastical alternative pop artist Polartropica, formally known as Ihui Cherise Wu, recently released a vibrant music video for their latest single, “GIVE THEM HELL (Serial Killer Slayer).” This empowering self-defense anthem was inspired by “bad bitches who fight back” so naturally the video has to be badass.

The music video features the concept of an underground fight club, comprised of multifaceted queer superheroes, who battle each other to determine the ultimate ‘serial killer slayer.’ The exuberant characters and superhero comic book graphics make it 3 minutes and 7 seconds of nonstop entertainment. By the time you’re at the second chorus, you’ll be chanting along, “give them hell!” Polartropica’s power is held within the combination of her creativity & musicality. Melding elements of garage pop & industrial rock create infectious soundscapes that leave listeners completely at a loss as to what to anticipate next, which is always a thrill!
