The Park Theatre was sold-out on April 20 as The Devil Wears Prada headlined their Metalcore Spring Break Tour, joined by ERRA, Kingdom of Giants, and Acres. The lineup offered a mix of styles within the metalcore genre, and each band brought something different to the stage.

Opening the night was Acres, whose emotional post-hardcore sound stood out immediately. Their blend of ambient, melodic instrumentation with raw vocals set a powerful tone. Despite being the first act, they got the crowd moving early. Kingdom of Giants followed with a heavier, more groove-focused set. Songs like Wayfinder” and “Bleach” had huge choruses that got the audience fully engaged. Their energy onstage carried into the crowd quickly. ERRA’s set was sharp and technical. They moved smoothly between clean vocals and harsh screams, especially on Snowblood” and “Pull from the Ghost.” Their musicianship stood out, and they played with tight precision.

Then came The Devil Wears Prada. They launched into “Reasons,” “Chemical,” and “Ritual,” all performed with urgency and power. The highlight was the live debut of “For You,” released just four days earlier— yet the crowd already knew it. TDWP proved once again they can evolve, surprise, and still deliver some of the heaviest, most impactful performances in metalcore.
