SHOW REVIEW: After The Burial - Boston, MA (4/29/23)

On April 29th in Boston, progressive metal band, After The Burial took the stage alongside friends in Spiritbox. Throughout a series of unfortunate events, including my camera being damaged, I was left unable to photograph that night. Nevertheless, After The Burial gave Boston an unforgettable performance for old & new fans alike. The stage production complemented their energetic & captivating set perfectly, making it impossible for anyone in the crowd to dismiss. Crowd surfing & circle pits were incessantly orchestrated throughout as they played older tracks like “Lost In The Static” & “Collapse” & Evergreen’s “In Flux” & “Behold The Crown.” Frontman, Anthony Notarmaso, even shared an incredibly vulnerable speech about his own personal experiences of grief & loss before performing the subsequent inspired track, “Death Keeps Us From Living.” Filled with a whirlwind of emotions, the crowd emanated just as much enthusiasm & passion throughout their whole set; thus leaving behind a great stamp of approval from Boston.
