REVIEW: poptropicaslutz! & aldrch - “wow” Single

Nick Crawford & Christian Cicilia of poptropicaslutz! recently collaborated with Sam Richman of aldrch to create a vivacious summer EP, Gossip Team. One of the tracks from the upcoming EP, “wow”, was just released setting the precedent of what’s to come: an exhilarating pop soundscape perfect for the summertime.

Poptropicaslutz!’s Christian Cicilia shares that this single evokes “a connection with somebody so strong that it makes you think it’s all you’re ever going to need.” This high energy track envelopes the addicting nostalgic Y2K synth beats we all love while still adding their own pts!/aldrch alternative panache.

“[We’d] been working super closely for the past couple years, stacking up new demos and going on IG Live and showing them to pts! fans,” Richman recalls.  “I think it started with people putting ‘aldrch pts EP’ in the chat on those lives that sparked the idea.”

The inevitable collaboration’s creation, Gossip Team, will debut on May 19. And not too long after its release, both poptropicaslutz! & aldrch will hit the road for some live summer performances. See below for further information on tickets & dates near you.
