REVIEW: MINOE - “Cut Me Loose” Single

MINOE’s newest single “Cut Me Loose” is a groovy, alt-pop anthem interlaced with hypnotic vocals, striking bass, and seventies-esque beats. Sharing MINOE’s own vulnerability with wanting to be free from her inner critic, “Cut Me Loose” cleverly serves as a melodic inspiration to help listeners cut ties from self-bullying and replace it with self-love.

The accompanying music video is a disco-filled vision that depicts MINOE’s inner dialogue with herself – the version of her begging to be ‘cut loose’ from unrealistic comparisons and expectations by the version of her that’s holding herself back. MINOE invites listeners to an inner world of escapism, conflict, and the power of self.

Written by MINOE herself, “Cut Me Loose” is a dance-floor filler created with an impressive team of accomplished creatives including platinum Juno producer Kevin Figs and Juno award-winning engineer Ghislain Brind Amour. Having released her first single in 2019, MINOE makes the next step to a pivotal year in her growing career with this single— stoked on what’s to come is an understatement.
