REVIEW: Eole - ‘From Yesterday Until Tomorrow’ EP
French producer Maxence Janvrin, better known as Eole, has stormed onto the music scene with his debut EP, From Yesterday Until Tomorrow released under the Enchanté Records label. Inspired by the likes of Fred Again, Sammy Virji, and Kaytranada, Eole's captivating production style aims to breathe new life into the French house music scene.
Despite being a debut release, Eole is no stranger to the music industry, having collaborated with prestigious brands such as Gucci, Arte, and Zalando, and composing film music for Kourtrajmé and many others. As the JBL Europe French music ambassador, Eole has been actively DJing in Paris for the past five years, and his latest EP is set to solidify his presence in the French music scene.
The EP aims to transcend musical boundaries by blending incisive UK House with influences from Eole's native France. The result is a mesmerizing fusion of spellbinding melodies, pulsating rhythms, and ethereal female vocals that create a hypnotic presence.
Eole's production is tight and constantly bouncy, offering a radiant and summer-filled atmosphere. "From Yesterday Until Tomorrow" is a captivating listening experience, featuring plush pads, glitchy vocal chops, and deep grooving bass lines. Whether enjoyed at home or in the club, the EP always delivers a great musical experience.
