PinkPantheress Fancies Houston On Her Spring Tour

Fans at 713 Music Hall in Houston could be seen lining up across the street dressed in plaid, carrying tiny shoulder bags as they waited to be let into PinkPantheress’ sold out show. Some fans could even be seen with K-Pop lightsticks, including that of one of her personal favorite groups NCT, as an ode to the singer’s love of the genre. PinkPantheress is no stranger to selling out shows in Houston as her last show at White Oak Music Hall in 2024 was also sold out, but as she mentions herself throughout the concert, that venue was much smaller.

The tour, An Evening With… PinkPantheress, officially kicked off in early 2025 with the opening date in England, PinkPantheress’ home country and was extended for a longer run quickly after that. As the tour was meant to promote her most recent mixtape, ‘Fancy That,’ it was a no-brainer that the show would start with its biggest hit, “Stateside.” This quickly set the tone for the whole show as a non-stop, high energy experience.

Before PinkPantheress even steps on stage, fans are dazzled by the elaborate stage set up, with screens set up all around to create different backgrounds and set pieces that enhance every performance. The success of this setup is most evident during her interludes where she changes into a new costume. Some of PinkPantheress’ many hit features on other artists’ songs are played on screen while she gets ready for a new performance. This led to some very fun moments for fans where PinkPantheress would disappear off stage only to come back on top of the set for the next song.

PinkPantheress is known for her short, catchy songs which, while becoming increasingly mainstream in K-Pop, are still novel in the west. In interviews, she has been quoted as saying that she believes her music works best when kept under three minutes as people won’t get tired of her voice. This also worked to keep the momentum going throughout the concert as fans never had a chance to grow tired of a song.

While the show was incredibly fast paced, that doesn’t mean PinkPantheress never slowed down to talk to the audience. Right before singing the song “The aisle,” she walked onstage with a bouquet of flowers and asked if anyone was in love. By the end of the song, she threw the bouquet into the crowd and asked who caught them before stating “I hope you’re happy in love cause you’re getting married tomorrow.”

PinkPantheress has a natural charisma that shines through in both her performances and her audience interactions. During a few songs, she would resume a conversation she was having with a fan mid song and switch back to singing almost effortlessly.

There was an incredible synergy between PinkPantheress and the audience throughout the entire show. The DJ onstage had a sign that said “applause,” but fans were cheering long before he held it up. PinkPantheress herself said she was surprised by how loud fans were singing during every song, even the lesser known ones. She told fans that their reactions made the show special for her and she would always remember Houston because of them.

As the show was coming to an end, PinkPantheress made sure to let everyone know that despite the tour existing to promote ‘Fancy That,’ she does constantly keep up with fans’ setlist requests and took them into consideration when creating the setlist for the show. She even went as far as to say that her second to last song, “Feel complete” from her debut studio album ‘Heaven knows’ was her most requested song.

The show officially ended with her Tik Tok viral hit, “Illegal” before her DJ came back on stage and asked the crowd if they wanted to hear one more song. Fans were loud enough that they convinced PinkPantheress to come back on stage to sing “Attracted To You” before saying goodbye to her adoring audience.
