UK rock band, Wolf Alice, recently made their way back to tour America stopping in Boston last Friday. This North American fall tour, with support from Luna Li, was a great opportunity for them to promote their latest album Blue Weekend. Now that fans have had a year to digest the album fully, audience participation & excitement will inevitably increase at these live shows. And Boston was no exception, as Wolf Alice managed to fill the Big Night Live room right up to capacity. The band made sure to include older setlist staples such as “Bros” & “Moaning Lisa Smile,” but performed Blue Weekend almost in its entirety for fans who’ve waited patiently (& we’re hoping “The Beach II” makes the cut next tour). With some crowdsurfing & friendly tussles in the pit, the audience was constantly energized with each fast-paced song, but were also seasoned enough to know when to reign it in & simply sway for the ballads. All surefire signs that the rowdy crowds of Boston will gladly welcome back Wolf Alice any day.
