Three Days Grace headlined Winnipeg’s Canada Life Centre on Friday night (June 13) with support from Volbeat and Wage War. A wild, fun night started with Wage War. “NAIL5,” “MAGNETIC,” and “BLUR” from their recent album STIGMA inspired all fans mentally for what was coming ahead. Wage War ignited the stage with a fiery set which was a perfect kick-off for the night.

With Arena in near darkness, Volbeat took the stage and with a blast of smoke bursting to the nearby standing area, the whole Centre was brought to light and life, as they charged into opener, A Warriors Call. Another highlight from that set was “Acid Rain” from their new album God of Angels Trust. This album has the soul of early Volbeat and fans should definitely check it out.

The crowd was loving every second, feeding off the energy. When Three Days Grace launched into Animal I Have Become, the place went wild. They mixed classics, deep cuts, and new tracks seamlessly, keeping the energy at full blast.Of course, the crowd goes electric. One of the highlights was Matt Walst (Current Vocalist) jumping off the stage mid-song, taking the mic with him, and running a full lap around the arena. The connection between Adam Gontier (returning vocalist) and Matt had such a smooth connection on the stage. When they were starting to sing Just Like you, they called two people from the crowd to sing with them. Omg I would have done anything to be there. Imagine how grateful you would feel to be that person singing on that stage. Three Days Grace and reunited vocalist Adam closed the set with Riot much to the delight of the thousands of fans in attendance.
