Quincy, Massachusetts hosted the second year’s In Between Days Festival at their Veterans Memorial Stadium last weekend. With New England’s reputation for unpredictable weather, both days thankfully were graced with pleasant end-of-summer sunshine. The festival constructed two stages just yards away from each other for the source of the main entertainment; each act continuously punctual to the afternoon’s lineup. Beyond the stages were dozens of vendors, everything from local cuisine to vintage thrifting. There was even a giant tent near the main entrance that arranged a plethora of retro arcade games. While some may see this area of Massachusetts as a “random” place to host a festival, it provided a fantastic landscape for the weekend’s events— wide open turf, bleachers, plenty of free parking, & manageable traversing. Great noteworthy acts such as Modest Mouse & Lord Huron headlined each night while several other fantastic acts performed leading up to their appearance including The Beths, Yoke Lore, Sunny Day Real Estate & Phantogram. We were very grateful to experience such an epic weekend full of great music in a great environment.
