California’s hardcore band, Ceremony, stopped by the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts over the weekend on their tour alongside Citizen & Turnstile; a run that Ceremony has been a part of since April. The band kicked off their set with tracks “Sick” & “Open Head,” setting the stage ablaze with fiery guitar riffs. It wasn’t long before frontman, Ross Farrar, made his way down off of the stage to become one with the crowd; shouting lyrics in tandem. The audience’s visceral elation to every song was contagious as they performed fan-favorites including, “The Doldrums (Friendly City)” & “Kersed,” from records dating back to their roots in 2006. Even the performance of their latest single, “Vanity Spawned by Fear,” elicited a similar reaction of exhilaration displayed in the incessant crowd-surfing. If anyone wasn’t sweating in the beginning, they certainly were by the end of Ceremony’s set.
The Turnstile Love Connection tour with Ceremony will be finishing up this week, so make sure to get to your show early enough to catch Ceremony’s invigorating set. More information below.
