Sometimes the South is overlooked by artists when it comes to major and minor tours. Luckily, Dead Poet Society decided to treat their southern fans this November with a short run across several states including Florida, South Carolina and Alabama.

The group, with Canadian rock band BRKN LOVE, stopped in Tuscaloosa for the first time on Nov. 22. It was a chilly night, but you couldn't tell it due to how much dancing was occuring on the floor and in the balconies of the venue. It was quite warm, the weather inside almost rivaling a late spring afternoon.

Opening with one of their recent popular songs, “HURT,” from their latest album, FISSION, the band then played a variety of tunes and ballads, including “.SALT.,” “Lo Air” and “Uto.” Of course, you can't end a rock show without a mosh pit, which happened during the last song of the set, “.intoodeep.” With promises to return to the state as soon as possible, the group bounded off stage and soon enough was signing and taking pictures with fans at the merch table.

A headliner that delivers a fire setlist AND makes time for fans afterwards? We have to stan.
