Rebecca Black took the Lincoln Hall stage in Chicago, Illinois on January 18th with confidence. Supporting the album she released last year, the Rebecca Black Was Here tour stormed through and took the sold out crowd into a glimpse of what the pop sensation has been up to over the pandemic: making heartfelt bangers. Album opener, "Better In My Memory," started the show and flowed into Black's 2022 recent drop featuring Slayyyter, "Read My Mind". With sultry dance moves and tons of crowd interaction, Black owned the stage.

"Happy new year! Have you all been taking care of yourselves?" Black asked the riled up crowd. When the crowd gave a sarcastic response back, Black laughed it off, saying that self-care, whether it be face masks, therapy or beyond, is important. Following that train of thought, she went into her disco-centric collaboration with bbso$, "yoga" and the crowd went wild.

Performing Rebecca Black Was Here in its entirety along with a few extra tracks such as a La Roux "Bulletproof" cover, her collaboration with Dorian Electra titled "Edgelord" and a new song premiering later on this week, Black knew how to keep the crowd alive and wanting more. As her set came to a close, Black performed 2021 hit "Girlfriend," a track that dropped the year after she publicly identified as queer on an episode of the Dating Straight podcast. She ended the night with the hyperpop remix of "Friday," a nostalgic heavy hitter featuring Big Freedia, 3OH!3 and Dorian Electra.

Rebecca Black finishes up the rest of her January 2022 dates with appearances in San Francisco on the 20th and Los Angeles on the 21st. She then heads over to Europe in May, dates below.
